NGIS equips Skypark Luxembourg with developer-driven DAS

At Skypark Business Center, NGIS is delivering a mobile coverage solution that is not added at the
end, but integrated from the start. Commissioned by lux-Airport, NGIS is designing and deploying a
high-performance Multi-Operator Distributed Antenna System based on Active DAS technology.
The system is tailored to the needs of a complex, mixed-use building and developed in close
alignment with the architectural and construction process. This approach ensures that mobile
connectivity is treated as a core utility, not an afterthought.

Why mobile coverage belongs in the blueprint

In high-density buildings like Skypark, mobile coverage is no longer optional. From office workers to
hotel guests and retail visitors, everyone expects reliable service. For developers and infrastructure
operators, integrating mobile infrastructure early in the design process offers clear advantages: it
avoids costly retrofits, ensures optimal signal distribution, and allows the system to be aligned with
the building’s technical layout and usage patterns. NGIS supports this shift by working closely with
stakeholders from the earliest stages, ensuring that coverage is planned with the same care as other
essential services like electricity or HVAC.

Engineering with precision

NGIS uses a digital twin model to simulate coverage and system performance before deployment
begins. This allows for accurate planning, faster implementation, and minimal disruption during
construction. The system architecture is based on MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output)
technology, which improves signal strength, capacity, and reliability — key factors in ensuring high-
quality mobile service in complex indoor environments.

A phased rollout aligned with construction

Skypark is a 370-metre-long timber construction offering 76,000 m² of usable space, including
offices, retail, hospitality, and essential services. The DAS system is being deployed in three phases,
each corresponding to a stage in the building’s development. It already supports two national
operators — Post and Tango — with a third to follow. Final activation is planned for March 2026.
This is NGIS’s largest Multi-Operator DAS deployment to date and illustrates the company’s ability to
deliver large-scale, business-critical infrastructure.

Supported by strong technical partnerships

Telenco supports the deployment with over 40 km of hybrid cabling and key hardware components,
contributing to the system’s reliability and scalability. NGIS oversees the complete system design,
engineering, and project management.
